Another Company is Accused of Illegal Dumping of Fracking Waste in Ohio

From The Times:
LOWELLVILLE, OHIO -- An Ohio company about a mile from the Pennsylvania border has been accused of dumping and burying petroleum-contaminated waste on its property close to the Mahoning River, a waterway that eventually flows into the Beaver River.
Ohio officials say they fear Soil Remediation Inc.’s illegal disposal of oil and gas waste at 6065 Arrel Smith Road, Lowellville, could have polluted groundwater and the river, which is about a quarter mile from the property. Authorities there confirmed Thursday they are pursuing criminal charges and civil action against the Mahoning County company.
A group of state and federal agencies -- including the Northeast Ohio Environmental Crimes Task Force, the federal Environmental Protection Agency, the Ohio EPA, the Attorney General’s office and other agencies -- served a search warrant on the company Tuesday and searched the grounds. Soil Remediation is owned by David Gennaro, who also owns Sharon Slag and Gennaro Pavers Inc., all on the same site.
