Athens County Commissioners Support State Fracking Waste Ban

Athens County commissioners have voted to support proposed state legislation that would ban disposal of fracking waste in injection wells.The commissioners voted to sign a letter being circulated that voices support for legislation being proposed by State Reps. Denise Driehaus and Robert Hagan, D-Youngstown, and state Sen. Michael Skindell. The letter is addressed to the three Democratic legislators.

It's interesting that only fracking waste injections are opposed in this measure, when there are other substances of equal or greater danger being disposed of in Ohio injection wells without drawing any such attention.
