Will Fracking Threaten Township's Water Supply?

You can’t drink natural gas, but you may have no choice.
Last year, residents of the Riverdale Mobil Home Park were evicted to make way for a water withdrawal station.   Aqua-PVR, a joint subsidiary of Aqua American and Penn-Virginia Resources, purchased the park, kicked the residents out, so they could sell water to the natural gas corporations.
Now the residents of Old Lycoming Township face a similar problem.  No, the residents aren’t being evicted, but their water supply is being threatened by a proposed water withdrawal station.
Centura Development Co. plans on building a withdrawal station that will suck approximately 2 million gallons of water from the Lycoming Creek watershed and sell it to the natural gas corporations.
