Devon Energy Looks to Sell Disappointing Wayne and Guernsey County Wells

Devon Energy to rid itself of
disappointing Utica shale wells
From the Akron Beacon Journal:
Wayne County’s lone Utica Shale well is up for sale.
Oklahoma-based Devon Energy Co. intends to sell the horizontal well near Apple Creek in East Union Township, company spokeswoman Jillian Mershon said in a note to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources last month.

Devon “believes these [two] wells have future utility,” Mershon wrote in early January. The company is “in the process of selling these wells and believes these wells may have future production value.”
No additional details were disclosed.
